In Season 3, Amaya gets trapped on the Xadia side of the Breach after destroying the passage. She is taken prisoner by the Sunfire Elves. Her captor, Janai pleas to her sister to spare her. After proving herself to be a human with a pure heart, she is kept alive as Janai's prisoner. Eventually Viren arrives at the Sunfire city, and when Amaya learns of this, insist the Sunfire elves to stop him. They would end up being too late and watched as Janai's sister disintegrates and Viren takes control of the Sunfire Elves' power. She and Janai would escape with what remains of the Sunfire elves and reunites with Callum and the others at the mountain where the Dragon Queen is still sleeping.

They prepare to take on Viren's monster army, she taking the first defense with Janai and the Sunfire Elves. Their goal was to keep the enemy back from climbing the mountain for as long as possible until reinforcement arrives. It was a losing battle, until reinforcement came in the form of dragons brought by Ezran and an army from Duran and Katolis, led by Queen Aanya and Corvus that deflected from Viren's rule. With the battle won, she helped the wounded and searched for Viren until he was eventually taken down by Callum and Rayla. She joins the others at the top of the mountain to see the Queen of the Dragons awaken and be reunited with her child, holding hands with Janai.

Personality: Amaya presents herself as someone that is capable, assertive and honest. She's right to the point without the nonsense, usually signing in as few words as possible to get her message out quickly. It's down to the interpreters to decipher it and get her messages across more eloquently. When someone tells her that something cannot be done or achieved, she would be the one to look into every option before giving up. When she was forced to leave her post at the breach, she made the call to blow up the passage itself, removing the concern of enemies passing through. She even put herself in danger when the plan was initially foiled by the sunfire elves, so that her troops would be saved. She will usually follow her own intuition against what others say. She picked up very early on that Viren was someone who could not be trusted and insisted on the investigation of the Xadian outpost at the Breach, despite the smoke signals going up (They were a few minutes off schedule, suspicious!). One could say she is the definition of a super woman, the one willing to go the extra mile and always ready to take action.

Though she can be a ruthless workaholic, there is a fun and compassionate side to her. There have been times where she breaks from the serious and would tease or taunt others, even toward her enemies. She has told Viren he was a load of bullshit to his face (eventhough Gren interpreted it in PG), and her captor to shove her sword up her ass. The world could be on fire and Amaya would make a cocky remark and then get to rallying everyone to save it like it's just another day to her. Like most humans, Amaya also strongly distrust the elven races, more so after the murder of King Harrow. Despite that her own opinions, she did save one after their battle. Janai had already lost, but instead of letting her fall to her death, she chose the honorable route and rescued her. No matter where one comes from, she is willing to give respect where respect is earned. Janai picked up on her honorable nature and would plea to her sister, the Queen of the Sunfire elves to spare her. The Queen decide to test her purity, where one must look into the light that reveals the impurities in a person. She managed to pass that test, a rare human with a pure heart as the Queen reveals.

Her whole demeanor and body language becomes warmer around her closest friends and family. She smiles more, even expressing her joy with with a literal bear hug, lifting the recipient of the hug. And underneath the super woman, there is a vulnerable side to her. Her late sister was a hero to her and more than anything, she wants to keep her family safe. She had failed to protect the boys in season 1 and thus, it weigh heavily on her heart as she apologized to her sister. There may even be guilt that she wasn't able to save her sister. She takes her own failures harshly, and perhaps the loss of her sister has driven her to work even harder in the present.

Abilities: Strong enough to wear heavy armor and lift a grown adult. A skilled warrior who primarily uses a sword and shield, but has been seen capable of physical combat and adapting to using other weapons and her surroundings to her advantage. She's a proficient lip reader.

Alignment: Thras. She's willing to step up and make the tough calls, and fears losing what's precious to her.

Other: She's deaf and communicates through sign language. Katolis sign language is based on American Sign Language.
